After I published my  Gerald Donald & James Stinson mix, New Jersey based electronica artist Origami Reptika told me that Acid Techno and Ambient Noise producer Graffiti Mechanism (btw. he just started a podcast series) from Toledo is also a Drexciya fan. When I asked him about it, he told me I should check out James Stinson’s Sunrays, released under the The Other People Place moniker.

I already knew the track but I have to admit, only for a few month months (was this a Freudian slip because I exaggerated the timespan?). In my brain The Other People Place was somehow entangled with Carl Craig’s Paperclip People project. The Paperclip People stuff is great but in my opinion it does not reach James Stinson’s level.
